While confident of their power, Materrus was weak-willed and easily influenced with the Force. During the Desolator Crisis Desolator Crisis Event Cold War (3653BBY - 3642BBY) the Death's Claw Death's Claw Organization Planetary and Sector pirate organization uncovered a shipment of artifacts belonging to the long-dead Jedi Covenant Jedi Covenant Organization Jedi Order on the planet Taris Taris Planet , and offered to sell them to Darth Angral. As he was otherwise occupied, Angral sent Materrus to meet with the pirate captain Captain Miscellaneous Ranks Dugge Dugge (Human) Character Minor Characters (TOR) and acquire the artifacts.
